- There's now a new application in the HWI.ZIP file. The OS/2 Drop Spy is a
little tool for those developers that need to know what alien applications
define as it's Darg and Drop protocol. The OS/2 Drop Spy shows the
rendering information, source and target name, the type and container
information.
OS/2 Drop Spy is freeware. There's no separate ZIP. It's only included
in the OS/2 Shareware Collection file (HWI.ZIP) and installed during the
installation of the OS/2 Shareware Collection.

- Several customer's reported problems when using XIT. There seem to be
incompatibilities with the registration of additional frame extensions.
Please add my apps to the incompatibility list of XIT whenever you
experience SYS3175 traps in HWIS.DLL.
A new release of XIT seems to avoid this problem so please download a new
release of XIT whenever you experience such problems.

- There's now a completely new toolbar control for all my apps. If you own
more than this application you need to download them all again. If you don't
do this, you'll see corrupted bitmaps in the toolbar buttons and some of
the toolbar selection dialogs (in OS/2 P-Book) won't work anymore. In
addition you'll notice faults during load of the applications.
Please download all OS/2 Shareware apps from me you have installed on your
system.

==========
- Due to customer requirements, the directory structure for all my Shareware
apps has changed.
The old installation procedure created the following struct on your
harddisk:
x:\HaWi\HWIClass (SOM/WPS ClassBrowser)
HWIPbk (P-Book)
HWISLevl (SyslevelEditor)
HWITrack (ProblemTracker)
HWIDbf (XBaseSpy)
HWIDde (DDESpy)
HWISys (SystemSpy)
Dll (Common DLLs)
In addition many directory entries were copied to your LIBPATH, PATH and
HELP environment in your CONFIG.SYS.
The new installation procedure will create the following struct on your
harddisk:
x:\HaWi\Bin (Applications)
Dll (Common DLLs)
The following steps are neccessary to transfer the old settings to the new
format:
1.) Use the INSTALL.EXE on this disk to install the applications. Please
let the installation change your CONFIG.SYS and Desktop objects.
The old WPS objects will be changed to the new location and the new
Shareware applications DDESpy and SystemSpy will be inserted.
2.) Copy the *.INI files from the old HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISLevl, HWITrack,
HWIDbf, HWIDde and HWISys directories to the new Bin directory.
This step is required. If you would omit this step the old P-Book
databases can't be found.
3.) Remove the old directories HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISlevl, HWITrack,
HWIDbf, HWIDde and HWISys.
These directories are no longer required after performing steps 1 thru
2.
4.) Remove the entries for HWIClass, HWIPbk, HWISlevl, HWITrack, HWIDbf,
HWIDde and HWISys from the LIBPATH, PATH and HELP environment in your
CONFIG.SYS.
These entries are no longer required. Please do not (!) delete the new
entries named BIN or DLL.
